The Perception of Porn & Masturbation

It bothers me so much when a man responds by saying “oh that’s so cool you watch porn” or “that’s chill you talk about masturbating” and ending with most girls aren’t like that. NO BITCH NO. YOU CAN’T STEREOTYPE WOMEN. We have lots to discuss today because I am unleashing my fury on the following topics: the stereotyping and sexism of sexuality, ethical porn, and what can we do to fix this?

  1. Stereotyping
In our sad, sad society, high sex drive and openness of sexuality is commonly associated with people with dicks and a set of fragile balls. So when women mention sex or anything else to do with that, it’s like oh shit, she’s so unique then immediately slut shamed. I DON’T GIVE A FUCK WHO YOU ARE, IF YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT FUCKING/MASTURBATING/PEGGING/ETC DO IT. You are your own person and should not be restricted by what genitals you have! Also, it’s so unfair that women are not credited as having a high sex drive. Most of my former flings have not worked out for many reasons but the biggest challenge was the dudes lack of sex drive. So slash down that bullshit. If you are judging someone for being open about their practice, GTFO. Who are you to judge? If it makes you uncomfortable, just ask them politely to tone it down or just leave. Jeez, I am so sick of people with sticks up their asses. The most important thing I want to reiterate is that just because a human being has an external genital, does not mean they want to go to pound town all day every day and women should not be devalued in any way for their sexuality.
  2. Ethics of Porn
The sex industry is a taboo topic which needs an image boost. But they can only do so by promoting progressive standards. I know that many people watch porn, including myself but I have this guilt about it. These are the questions I ask myself: How much were they getting paid and is it equal? Are they in the industry because they want to be or because they have no other means of getting by? Does the production follow a standard of set rules to prevent sexual harassment and assault? Do they get health care from the production companies? IT GOES ON. So how do we as audiences get rid of our guilt conscience in this regard? If you’re feeling guilty about watching other people have staged sex for “moral” reasons, sry can’t help ya. How do we go about making sure sex workers are protected and given the respect they deserve as human beings? I’m so sick of sex workers who choose that occupation because they enjoy it being treated like they are just that. They are human beings and I’m so over this shit people.
  3. Possible Solutions???
Fuck I don’t know everything. But I know that we can address these things on a personal level; if someone is talking to you and sounds sexist, SHUT IT DOWN. If someone degrades a sex worker, SHUT IT THE FUCK DOWN.

                                             Basically shut down the patriarchy.

But also, go look for campaigns that support sex workers and ending human trafficking. Sign petitions to help protect those in the sex industry. PEOPLE GO BE PRODUCTIVE, YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THE WORLD AT YOUR FINGERTIPS, LITERALLY.
